Prevention - Education Committee
The prevention committee is our first line of defense against methamphetamine use in Paulding County. You'll see members from this committee giving presentations in our public schools, area churches, service organizations, and at businesses. Soon there will also be billboards, brochures, and commercials on television. This committee strives to use any media available to teach our citizens how destructive meth is to everyone.
Legislation Committee
The legislation committee strives to affect change through the laws in Paulding County and the State of Georgia. They do this by looking at current laws and seeing how effective these are and looking at what could make these laws more effective from the street level law enforcement officer all the way through the courtroom and in our prison system.
Treatment Committee
Our treatment committee looks to provide ongoing treatment for meth abusers in Paulding County. They are investigating many different ways to do this, both through classes in the county jail and programs in some area churches.
